First of all, I wasn't expecting all the hate on Fourth Wing I found here on Reddit. I am not a fan of fantasy; I prefer romantasy (I didn't even know it was a thing before I encountered all that hate on Fourth Wing). My favorite genre is definitely romance/new adult.
Getting straight to the point, I need a new book to recover from Onyx Storm. I haven't had to wait for a sequel since Twilight, and at that time, I didn't have an anxiety disorder.
I'm not into BookTok or any of those trends (and I really don't like Colleen Hoover's books). I usually select my reads from romance io, but it's getting harder to find something I enjoy. I love the feeling of getting obsessed with a book I can't put down.
I need recommendations based on my list of favorite books:
- Love Unscripted – Tina Reber
- Fifty Shades of Grey – E.L. James
- Twilight – Stephenie Meyer
- Calendar Girl – Audrey Carlan
- A Court of Thorns and Roses (ACOTAR) – Sarah J. Maas
- Fourth Wing – Rebecca Yarros
- Born in Blood Mafia Chronicles – Cora Reilly
- After – Anna Todd
(I know…) - The Idea of You – Robinne Lee
- The Fault in Our Stars – John Green
- Me Before You – Jojo Moyes
- The Girl You Left Behind – Jojo Moyes
- The Hunger Games – Suzanne Collins
- Uglies – Scott Westerfeld
- Kulti – Mariana Zapata
- The Love Hypothesis – Ali Hazelwood
- The Wall of Winnipeg and Me – Mariana Zapata
- Off-Campus/Briar U series – Elle Kennedy
I also didn't like Crescent City.
