This isn’t exactly what you asked for, but you might like And Be A Villain by Rex Stout.

    2. Kitty and the Midnight hour is the first in a series of mysteries staring a radio host who is also a werewolf. Might be a branch off but similar vibe

    3. I don’t know if this really aligns with what you’re after, but maybe *I Have Some Questions For You* by Rebecca Makkai?

It follows two timelines: one in the 90s (iirc, it could be early 2000s), in which the main character’s dormmate at an exclusive boarding school is murdered; the other, maybe two decades later, where the main character returns to her school to give a class on podcasting and one student wants to report on the unsolved murder. Having said this, I feel like the radio show element isn’t central enough to the story to really catch the vibe you want, and I personally found the story unsatisfying, but maybe it will scratch the urge for you.

Your description did make me think of Pontypool, but that’s a film, rather than a book – there *is* a book, *Pontypool Changes Everything* by Tony Burgess, but I think the radio element was much more central in the film, whereas the book is more of an exploration of the idea of language as a source of transmission for a virus.

    4. Try Simon Brett’s mysteries about Charles Paris – he’s an actor but does radio work. *Cast, In Order of Disappearance* is a good one to start.
