Hey redditors. I love the idea of reading, and getting sucked into a good story. I really enjoy audiodramas and audiobooks. I have pretty intense ADHD and struggle to stay motived when finding a new book. I think I just haven’t found the right stories for me yet? Hoping you can help me out! I’m not familiar with a lot of authors, I’ve never been a reader but I really want to be so I’m in search of a few good books that can help me get the ball rolling.
That being said, here’s what I’m trying to find.
I like mysteries, but not like cliche mysteries if that makes any sense?
I also like dystopian dramas, forbidden romance, and life stories. I’m a social worker (SAHM currently though) so anything with SW themes is a bonus too.
I really just don’t know where to start. Help me?!
(Adding in my own suggestion to fellow ADHD readers. “You mean I’m not lazy, stupid, or crazy” is a phenomenal read if you want to learn more about how your brain works)
