So I'm not exactly a history buff or anything but I've recently been diving into the subject of New World discovery, and spent about 7 hours this morning going down several Wikipedia rabbit holes regarding theories of pre-Columbian contact with the Americas and Viking settlement of North America/Greenland. I find this stuff super interesting and would like to read more about it. I know this is a pretty vague description, but I'm particularly interested in stuff like prehistorical wildlife, evolution, exploration, and early human history/development.
From the little research I've done, 1491 by Charles Mann seems to be a good one. Any other recommendations/suggestions based on this are greatly appreciated.
