I wasn't sure exactly how to word this. Growing up, I read Percy Jackson like so many others. Nowadays, that level of writing is too low for me. But I still find that I love Percy as a character.
Percy is impulsive, and underprepared, but at the same time, he has these instincts, and this particular cunning about him that didn't rely on book smarts. He was very chaotic, and he was hotheaded, but also softhearted and sarcastic, and goofy. He just pulled all of these traits together so well, and I yearn to read a character like that again.
My only request is no YA, and that the character in question be a male protagonist.
