Title is self-explanatory. I'm not someone who's usually into romance as a genre but after taking writing as a more serious hobby for myself I'm trying to read books that aren't just in my preferred genre (sci-fi) so I can improve my writing skills and learn different forms of storytelling. One such place I'm wanting to improve on is writing romance plots between characters and making them as realistic as can be done in a book.
So what romance books would anyone here recommend that you can say "even if you don't like romance, this is something that is almost universally favoured and sure to be a good read for you".
It doesn't need to be "spicy" and I'll take any recommendations that either have very little or quite a lot; just as long as it has a good plot, characters and and is something that will keep a reader interested. Also I listed sci-fi as my favourite genre but don't feel like you have to recommend a book that would appeal to me in that way.
