Okay, so I need suggestions that could at least meet some of the criteria.
Historical or Fantasy or Sci-fi preferably not anything that takes place in current times.
Love triangle
Royalty
Arranged marriage (specifically the guy is into
FMC but she is in to someone else)
Touch her and die vibes
Morally grey characters
The FMC does not have to be bad ass and loves to fight I'm kind of over all those kinds of books but I can settle, I just like reading about gentle but strong willed FMCs
Forced proximity
Abduction
Could be fantasy but doesn't necessarily have to be
So I love a damsel in distress but I hate meek damsels love a little attitude
From Blood and Ash is one of my favorite book series and Poppy is one of the few bad ass fighting women that inlove who doesn't have a personality that makes me want to vomit. I don't love the super cocky and sarcastic kind of personalities… idk it's difficult to describe.
But I also don't love a love triangle that verges on cheating
The Lightlark series was good but I didn't love the romance between any of the characters
And I don't like characters that are hateful or do horrible things that are meant to push away the love interest.
And if it can be helped I would like to avoid where the FMC has to lie, cheat, manipulate, or even kill the MMC
