I’ve been reading a lot of historical nonfiction recently and have a few I’m taking on our beach honeymoon. I’m hoping to add a novel to the list to give me a sort of brain break. I generally go for Thrillers, Sci-Fi or historical fiction but I’m open to anything. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

[Anne Lister](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anne_Lister) diaries. Her five-million-word diary was mostly written in code. We still don’t know it all. Utterly brilliant woman. Well travelled and fearless.
project hail mary for sci-fi 🌊🫶🌊 maybe mickey 7 – seeing as the film adaption jus came our mickey 17
Three Bags Full by Leonie Swann is a really fun book. Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells, The Golem and the Djinni by Helene Wecker, Sourdough by Robin Sloan.
War breaker is a fantasy book written on the authors honeymoon. Brandon Sanderson. Mileage may very, but accessible prose, mostly a fun read. Most people’s complaint with Brandon Sanderson is he’s not ground breaking and his language isn’t pretty. But for me that’s PERFECT for a beach read! To be clear. I love Brando Sando books
I also have a lot of fun reading Anne Mccaffreys science fiction books for “light” reads. Maybe look at the “freedom” series or “crystal singer” or “Rowen”
Then She Was Gone – Lisa Jewell
The Opportunist – Elyse Friedman
Strange Sally Diamond – Liz Nugent
The Inmate by Freida Mcfadden
The Hunting Party by Lucy Foley
The Girl in the Mirror by Rose Carlyle
The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware
City of Girls by Elizabeth Gilbert
Le Assaggiatrici by Rosella Postorino
Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens
The Summer of Broken Rules by K.L. Walther
The Rachel Incident by Caroline O’Donoghue
It’s not Sci-Fi or Historical Fiction, but it’s really good and not super heavy.
