Greetings folks.
I am in a Sci Fi book club with some pals and the selection rotation is coming around to me. We have had some really interesting, somewhat fringe selections so far and I am keen to offer something cool!
So far, we have had:
The Nightland – William Hope Hodgson
Vurt – Jeff Noon
Fortunate fall – Cameron Reed
Robot – Adam Wiśniewski-Snerg (actually this one is yet to come).
We’ve had proto sci-fi, we’ve had cyber-punk / Post modern, two of these have recently returned to print. I’m hoping to pick something a little different, something a little offbeat. Perhaps an overlooked gem or a flawed masterpiece. I’m also considering new books and am keeping in mind:
Under the eye of the big bird – Hiromi Kawakami
Luminous – Silvia Park
(Both coming out this year)
Reccomendations welcome! Also happy to discuss any of these books listed 🙂
