Hello! So I’m not really a romance reader but lately I’ve been in the mood for some sort of medieval/ fantasy romance with a grumpy knight. I’d prefer no smut but if it’s small a small amount I don’t mind. I think playing a lot of Elden ring triggered this so if any of these books have great lore that would be amazing!

Jacqueline Carey’s original Kushiel trilogy has a celibate warrior-monk love interest, although there is some smut.
