This is my first time reading Erdrich and I’m on page 230, but it’s such a CHORE for me to keep going. Anyone here to tell me it gets better?
I know you’re not really supposed to finish books that you don’t enjoy, but I keep waiting for this one to surprise me. Maybe it’s a lost cause.

I was underwhelmed by The Roundhouse by her. Plot holes, inconsistent pacing and some overdone symbolism.
I’m a huge DNF advocate but I am shocked it’s this one! One of the most engrossing authors out there, I eat her books up.
But still, don’t finish any book if you’re not feeling it.
