I just finished looking into Stephen Glass and loved seeing the holes in how journalism can fail if the right steps to uphold it aren't taken. One of my go to re-reads is trust me i'm lying by Ryan Holiday too and it made me realise that I love looking into how the system can fall apart and being told how that happens and having an expert explain how this occurs. It's great.
Alternatively the opposite where a writer takes a topic that seems shallow or unimportant and discovers that "Actually this is insane, How did we get here?" Stuff like "Empire of pain" or "Catch and Kill"
I guess these two fall into the idea of a making a tower of playing cards and seeing how it all comes down
Any ideas as to what I should pick up next.
