I have been trying to get into classic novellas

I just read the metamorphosis and it was pretty good! I want to read more similar to that! Some caught my eye but I’m not sure if they are appropriate for my age?(14) those being Giovanni’s room and the yellow wallpaper but I don’t want to read them if they are too difficult to understand or read. Thanks!
