Hi, I'm looking for some more books about settlers — novels with pioneers, colonies, prospectors, covered wagons, settler families, prairies, dust bowls, etc. Bonus points for anything Canadian or with a focus on women's and indigenous perspectives. I prefer historical/horror/literary fiction but I'm open to scifi/fantasy with similar themes, like Dune.
Ones I’ve already read:
- Little House on the Prairie
- My Antonia by Willa Cather (her other books are already on my list)
- The Hunger by Alma Katsu
- West by Carys Davies
- Call Down the Thunder by Dietrich Kalteis
