Hi Reddit! I want to clarify that i am not looking for books about becoming a new father. I more interested in books that capture the spirit of what it means to be a father. The beautiful chaos that is parenthood. I primarily read sci-fi and fantasy so bonus points if it falls in to those categories! Thanks!

Might not be what you are looking for, but for me fatherhood was one of the important themes of Zen and The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.
This is not a light suggestion, but The Road by Cormac McCarthy. Definitely captures that but is a heavy, depressing book
