What the title says. I read TSH and my brain has never been the same. I read all the typical suggestions, The Picture of Dorian Gray (Which I very much enjoyed), If We Were Villains (hated this one), and I'm currently on the Bell Jar. My second favorite of all time is The Catcher in the Rye, which I guess I could see some similarities with the TSH. I do enjoy an angsty, existential, academia type book. I'm not looking for a Secret History copycat, I DNFd Babel, but something that evokes the same gut-wrenching feeling that I felt when I read the TSH.
Any suggestions?
