I would love if someone could recommend me books with the same themes and vibes as the brazilian tv-series Hilda Furacão. I love the idea of stories from rural small towns with religious trauma and shame; and the breaking of religious ties and social norms in conservative societies. I adored the tv series and it’s setting playing out in the 50s. I Also absolutely love the theme of sisterhood, and women standing their ground against a misogynistic ideology. The idea of having to battle with indoctrinated religious bias is so intriguing; especially in a kind of forbidden attraction setting. Thank you to anyone who has any recommendations❤️
