What are your 5 even 6 star reads? My birthday is next week and I’m stuck on what to ask for so what were those books that stuck with you, had you in awe, jaw to the floor or absolutely sobbing mess, something you will always reccomend people read and wish you could read for the first time again?
I do usually read thriller and romance but I am open to anything

Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens
American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins
Bibliophobia by Sarah Chihaya!
I only have three books I’d consider 6 star reads, meaning I see them as flawless.
– Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry
– We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson
– To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
I just LOVE The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah!
East of Eden – Steinbeck
A little life was a sob-fest
It will always be Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver for me.
My two 5 star books that I read in 2024 were:
Lady Tan’s Circle of Women by Lisa See
Five Little Indians by Michelle Good
The Empyrean series 1000000%. The best books I’ve read in my life. The plot twists had my jaw on the floor, and the plot had my crying, smiling, laughing, sobbing my eyes out, and kicking my feet giggling. SO good.
Nothing to See Here by Kevin Wilson
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
I’m stingy with my stars lol my only 5 star book is The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey
