Hello! I’ve read at least 20 “what’s the best book you’ve ever read” posts here and I’m still not sure what my next move is.
I used to love reading! Years ago, I found a newfound adult love of my time to escape and read. I loved:
- Hemingway/Fitzgerald (I group them because I alternated reading only their works for a year)
- I LOVED Station Eleven
- loved Normal People
- Found Girl on the Train entertaining
But then…I found myself in a Taylor Jenkins Reid rut. Read one, thought it was bad…then for some reason convinced myself to read two more. They kept getting worse. No hate to those who connected – I just found them shallow! Kinda killed my reading vibe.
What can I read that will return my love of reading through intelligent characters or compelling action/mystery? Help me Reddit!
