Mine? Well I admit to having three.
James Alexander Malcolm Mckenzie Fraser or just Jamie Fraser. He is definitely one that you'd want around. From the Outlander series of novels. He is supportive, he is just a man's man but also a supporter of his family. Just his continued standing up for others, fighting for them at others. Gets my vote.
My second choice is Robert Alfred Adams widely known as Boots Adams from the Adams family series by Mary Jane Staples. (not American Addams family). A boy from a cockney family goes to a grammar school, speaks better and goes off to war, in 1914. I won't say anymore but I love the series of books. Read many times. Boots has a whimsical sense of humour, is intelligent and the sort of man who when it comes to it, stands up, doesn't run away.
My third choice is Michael Silverman or Silver from the book Grasshopper by Barbara Vine. Many people don't talk to Clodagh to get to know her because of what happened. Silver isn't one of them. It's a one off book, once again many times I've read it. Also listened as an audio book spoken by Emilia Fox. Once again the characters come to life in my head, and I revisit.
I hope other people will share their favourites as well.
