I didn’t care for this and actually gave up and read the summary by a blogger. The idea that massive support groups were set up for those with “short strings” seemed ridiculous. The whole premise just bugged me- and I am one who can suspend logic for a well written book of fiction and fantasy.
My book club members seem to enjoy it – it’s different but but I feel like any one – not even a professional writer- could have thrown this together. Just bored me and bugged me.

Why wouldn’t they have support groups for the short stringers. It is like having cancer support groups. You know you have limited time and want to spend some of that time with people that understand. I liked the book. I can understand it is a big suspension of disbelief.
I had to DNF it. WAY too many character POVs and I didn’t find myself connected to any of them. I gave up after >! the first death. !<
Surely the support groups are the least far-fetched thing about this book 😅
