I believe we’re living in an era of increasingly instability in the West. Our post-WW2 world order has matured and is starting to fracture, China is challenging US hegemony, institutions are becoming unfit for the present day. AI, climate are pushing what is falling.
What are some great books about other periods of major historical transition? E.g pre-1919; the lead up to Cesear/fall of Roman Republic; fall of Roman Empire… open to other big shift eras too.
