DCC – God tier. Funny, unique and detailed world building, realistic dystopia, characters that are authentic and natural.
BuyMort- a very similar litrpg to DCC- so very similar i n many ways. While still being wildly different.
The Daily Grind- some DnD living college/ post college roommates discover a door i n the call center where the Mc works stops leading to the staircase..for 2 minutes, at 4.50 am,- inside there is a seemingly endless maze of cubicles. But staples and computers come are alive.. and seem fairly blood n thirsty. But they drop magical orbs when destroyed, orbs that do different things based on the color… and they keep discovering more and more amazing stuff. Its a fantasy for every sci fi/ fantasy lover who's ever wanted to find something magical. And the humor is great.
CHRYSALIS- is a a bit tough for this first book, until the MC gets people to talk to..
But after that- Jeff Hays crushes it. And the story itself is beyond funny, but also a unique well built world with fully realized characters.
The perfect run- like the last book, has an OP MC… but unlike the last book- this character starts OP..from our pov… but he still has plenty of challanges. And he's mastered that art of sparky, witty banter… along with most languages and fighting skills and even technical work on par with the power enhanced geniuses.
Those are all litrpg.. though DCC at least transcends the genre.
I'm also a huge fan of most humorous sci-fi
Red shirts.. or anything else he wrote
Douglas Adams
Simon Rich
Christopher Moore
The Bobiverse is fantastic
Off to be the Wizard is pretty good
The human division was fantastic- though i dont think I needed a second book telling the same story from a different point of view
