I’ve only read a couple of books in the past few years and have read halfway through like 7 or so.
Last ones I read starting from most recent.
    – the girl with the dragon tattoo ( read half of it during summer of 2023. Completely forgot about it until January of 2024 and finished it then.

    • silence of the lambs. Read it within a couple weeks or so.

    • know my name – Chanel Miller ( read it for school. So moving. Cried a fair bit.)

    • secret life of bees (really loved the language and story telling. Made me think more poetically for a couple of weeks which was so cool to experience since I often have trouble putting my thoughts and feelings into words)

yeah, I seriously think those are all of the books i’ve finsihed since 2022.
For the ones i’ve read half of:

Conversations with friends – sally rooney

A girl is half formed thing – eimear McBride

Play it as it lays – Joan didion

There are more but i can’t think of them off the top of my head right now.

Also for more context. When I was in second grade the only books I could read were goosebumps because they were the only book that could hold my attention.
When I got to fifth grade my class had the hunger games books and I LOVED them. I read all three within a very short period of time.

So with that info, if any of you have any recommendations, I would be very appreciative. Also, for the books I half- finished, I liked them a lot I’m just a procrastinator and they didn’t capture my attention enough to finish them in a timely fashion.

I really recommend Sea of Tranquility by Emily St John Mandel. It’s awesome, not too long either, and super gripping from the start! It’s sort of Sci-Fi, have a read of the synopsis and see if you like it

I would recommend reading the alphabet mystery series by Sue Grafton. It starts with as for Alibi B is for burglar and so forth. Focuses on one female Detective and the characters in her life and every book is a new case she has to solve
