looking for suggestions for some happy/upbeat trans books. i.e., books that circle around a trans main character/characters. i have been depressed and dysphoric lately because of everything and need more happy books to read lol. prefer stuff thats more geared towards adults, but am open to YA.

Pet by Akwaeke Emezi? YA and does deal with some heavier topics, but the trans character is so supported which I loved!
The Crane Wife by non binary author CJ Hauser. It’s a memoir and I found it very a funny and moving tale of someone putting their life back together after a breakup.
Something by Rivers Solomon maybe?
*The Gods of Tango*, by Carolina de Robertis has a protagonist with a **really interesting** connection to their own gender.
Early 20th century Buenos Aires, and Leda becomes Dante at first out of pure pragmatism – it’s a lot easier to survive, particularly in the seedy underbelly where tango is played, as a young man than it is as a young woman, particularly a young widow. However, it soon becomes a much bigger part of Dante’s life than just “a way to keep a job”…
And yes, as complicated as the happiness is, there is a happy ending
