So the recent article by Jeffrey Goldberg in The Atlantic about being accidentally included into a signal chat where war plans were being discussed has really captured my attention.

Whilst acknowledging the magnitude of what the article is bringing to people’s attention, I couldn’t help but put myself into the shoes of an ‘old school’ scenario, being in a situation room full of military and economic advisors dealing with imminent threats, or strategically planning activities in the interest of the nation. Decisions under immense pressure.

Are there any books, either fiction or non-fiction, on war planning activities in a situation room and the economical gains or losses that follow?

    Thanks in advance!
