Looking for books of any genre with captivating female MCs

I'm looking for a MC in their 20s with self-assuredness and a level of detachment/indifference. But I think the thing I'm most looking for is a quality where the subtle cues matter and mean a lot. Showing their affection and appreciation in small ways.

I'm looking for a frieren-like character. The closest I've found to what I'm looking for is Beth Harmon in the Queen's Gambit who I felt was written phenomenally but didn't fully scratch that itch
