I have recently finished some heavy fantasy novels and I am feeling a bit overwhelmed.
Can you please suggest me some laid back series with no death, gore or any other adult drama.
Something which is still interesting but feels like a warm hug. Something childish yet deeply meaningful.
Not too much action or anticipatory suspense.
Something which captures the magic we felt as children.

Howl’s Moving Castle by Dianna Wynne Jones. Also has two sequels set within the same world (Castle in the Air and House of Many Ways)
I haven’t read these in a long while, so I apologize if they don’t quite hit the mark (perhaps somebody else who has a more firm memory than me can verify whether this is a good or bad suggestion) but the first title that came to mind was *Inkheart* by Cornelia Funke. I remember really enjoying it and the subsequent books *Inkspell* and *Inkdeath* when I was around 12 years old or so.

Meadowsweet by C J Milbrandt and The Enchanted Forest Chronicles by Patricia Wrede are both considered YA, but written by wonderful fantasy authors – highly recommend as lovely reads.
