It’s fun to see characters from the real world get sucked into something fictional, but I feel like the opposite scenario isn’t as prevalent. A few things come to mind, like Image Comics’ Crossover, where something happens that causes comic characters to inhabit the real world, Last Action Hero (haven’t seen it but heard great things about it) and Enchanted (which may not count as they are different worlds? Idk). Bonus points if there is a scene where a character realizes they are in a story and break out, just like Vision did in one of the What If? episodes

The Dark Tower books by Stephen King do this, in fact one of the major plot points involves the characters seeking out the author himself to ask him about the story.
