Book about how successful people manage anxiety and negative emotions?
I'd like any recommendations about how people in high stress jobs: (pilots, doctors, ER nurses, etc.) take care of their mental health and still manage to have consistent high performance.
Again, for helpers, this is a good one: Trauma Stewardship: An Everyday Guide to Caring for Self While Caring for Others
I will say, these do not focus on maintaining a consistent metric of success, but more on preventing burnout. I would argue that finding how to ebb and flow/ find a rhythm between the brake and the gas may be more predictive of long term success than a hack for sustaining a perpetual grind.

Geared towards the helping professions, The Compassion Fatigue Workbook is fantastic. This author has some Ted Talks and other resources too https://tendtoolkit.com/the-compassion-fatigue-workbook-mathieu/
