When I say under-appreciated classics, I mean those which rarely get recommended or brought up, but are almost universally loved by those who have read them. For example, some amazing books which I've almost never seen recommended but blew me away:
- Stalingrad by Vasily Grossman
- The Recognitions by William Gaddis
These are both monster reads but are immensely deep and fun to sink your teeth into. They have 4.3 on Goodreads and are well regarded. I'm interested in these types of long novels, especially the Tolstoy-esque family dramas, that are perhaps lesser known. But any classics are good!
