so the series im looking for is about a female lead who is put into an academy for bounty hunters or some such thing. but she was raised already to be a hunter by a hunter who was retiered. and lived in Louisiana ? with his dogs. in a swmp. heavy on magic and other things. i beleave the girl is a ware shifter of some type ? i cant recall i might be mixing 2 book serieses
