Just finished David Wellingtons Paradise-1, currently reading the sequel Revenant-X and greatly enjoying it. Revenant X, however, has not (as of where I’m at in it) scratched the “mystery + psychological horror” itch that Paradise-1 has. For example, one part of Paradise-1 focuses on a ship full of crew and passengers who are psychologically forced to feel such an intense hunger, that when the main characters find them they’re eating their own fingers and lips. It’s creepy, horrific, and has a lot of unknowns.
What will scratch that itch?
