The x- files but in books?

I'm currently on the third season in x-files and even though I'm loving it so far I fear that I need some good book series that are similar to the concept of the tv series. I'm looking for two protagonists preferably that work together to solve weird mysteries or cases that have to do with unexplained phenomenals. Anything similar will be appreciated!!
