It’s my senior year of college, and I’ve just recently started reading again after not reading throughout college. I'm just trying to really slow down and savor time as much as possible. The last two books I read were When Breath Becomes Air and Tuesdays with Morrie. I’m looking for something relatively in the same spirit. Something that will stick with me, something I’ll keep thinking about after I’ve finished it. I'm very open to any book, but I just want something with a lesson or something with a theme that I can think about.

For some context, I’ve usually been more of a movie person in college. My favorite movie is Interstellar—I love the way it explores love, time, and what it means to hold onto someone. That sort of feeling.

I guess I’m just looking for a book that makes me feel something (and hopefully something memorable). If you have any recs, I’d love if you could include a short description (maybe just a few words) about what it meant to you or what it’s about.

    Thank you in advance!

    1. Hey man, I’d suggest “100 years of solitude” by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, it explores the evolution of a family over 100 years in a setting of magical realism. Tbh I don’t know how similar it is to the last two books you read but there are some crazy take aways from this book if your interested!
