I've always been fascinated by concepts of good and evil/right and wrong, and have long pondered where that line is.

So, what I'm looking for is a book where we see good deeds done for evil purposes, or vice versa. Where we see the justifications for evil and the damning of good. Explanations of what good and evil are(ideally from widely varied sources). Where misguided souls try to do good but end up evil, or where cruel people see the depths of their cruelty and grow.

Educational, psychological, philosophical, spiritual, fiction, non-fiction. Any type of book, really, that discusses and challenges beliefs of good and evil.

Piers Anthony’s Incarnations of Immortality series, especially And Evil and And Eternity. You should read the series to get the context for those.

So, this is more empty evil people doing bad things, but it does have a lot of spiritual themes, and also talks a lot about the nature of man. Blood Meridian is one of the best books I have ever read. It is gratuitous, though. You’ve been warned. Also, Blood Meridian isn’t going to tell you anything. You’ll have to read deeply and put forth an effort to understand its themes and messaging.

You’ve failed to define good, evil, right and wrong. But I guess you’re like most of them out there. Light is good, darkness is wrong, the devil -if they were to exist- is evil and angels -if they were to exist- are just lovely.
I invite you to change your perspective, even for a while. A burning, hellish blaze can give the warmth to survive. While a pristine, immaculate, snowy vastness may kill you (and not in a nice way).

This story is born from the shadows of corporate intrigue and the whispers of the occult, a testament to the human capacity for both immense cruelty and incredible courage. To those who have faced the unseen forces, the subtle whispers of the supernatural, and the unsettling feeling of being watched, manipulated, or controlled by forces beyond comprehension. To those who have navigated the treacherous terrain between the mundane and the mystical, your resilience and strength are a testament to the human spirit’s enduring capacity for survival and revelation. To the power of the human spirit to overcome adversity, to expose the truth, even when facing impossible odds. May this story serve as a reminder that even in the darkest of times, hope remains a potent force, a beacon guiding us toward justice and the unveiling of hidden truths.
