I have two books that I like for wedding planning advice but they are outdated. Can anyone recommend similar books that would be more with the current times?
The first book is the most dated.
Planning a Wedding When Your Parents Are Divorced
by Cindy Moore and Tricia Wisdom
Copyright 1992, published by Father & Son, 2nd edition
ISBN: 0-942407-35-0
The title says it all. I want a book with good advice for dealing with the extra challenges that come up when the bride or groom or both have divorced parents. Something that is for today's couples. The above book may have a 90's Copyright but I swear it was written by someone stuck in the 50s. Still it has good advice and gets you thinking the right way about how to approach the whole thing. With 4 sets of parents, who pays for what, who sits where, wording invitations, etc, etc, are all more complicated.
The second book is
How to Have the Wedding You Want (Not the One Everybody Else Wants You to Have) The Only Guide That's on Your Side!
by Danielle Claro
Copyright 1995, published by Berkley Books
ISBN: 0-425-14578-6
This book has a similar Copyright date but it's not nearly as dated. Still a lot has changed since it was published and it could use an update. A similar book by another author would be fine.
