Hi guys,
I am an amateur of history, and this month I wanted to focus on african american's history.
I am not from the US, and this topic is not discussed in depth where I am from, this is why I wanted to ask you some books to get into the argument, specifically about the black emancipation period after the second great war (that's what I am missing).
I am very interested in biographies, atlas, document collections, manifestos, anything that is a good source of study.
Feel free to recommend to me what you think is the obvious, like a martin luther king biography or a malcolm x book, because I am going into this from ground 0.
Thank you all!
