Maybe a long shot, but are there any non-fiction books that address the topic of how ordinary people in Germany who did not support Hitler came to terms with the fact that many of their friends, family, neighbors did support the Nazi party that inflicted so much pain and suffering on their country? I’m interested in exploring how that process of healing happened in the post-war period.
