I want to walk into book club tomorrow with an arsenal of ideas for next month’s picks. I HATED this month – Annihilation. I wish I fought it more but we’ve only met once so I didn’t speak up (it’s a book club I started but it’s random people). Our first month was a fluffy romance, not too much to discuss, but I feel like Annihilation was the other end of the spectrum, but I can’t even get through it.
I need something that this avid reader but one that simply reads for entertainment at this point in my life (I have an English degree and I’m a teacher – I’m done thinking hard by the time I read these days) can suggest, that will lead to discussion but doesn’t take too much deep thinking and concentration to get through.
My thought for this upcoming month is The Push by Ashley Audrain. I would love other suggestions though!
