I’ve read a few young adult fantasy books, like Acotar and throne of glass, which are largely marketed to a female audience, but nonetheless I’ve enjoyed them. Now my friends are trying to get me to read another in the same genre called the cruel prince, and as great as I think it is that there are such entertaining books with female protagonists, I can’t help but wonder if there are any books in the same genre that have a male protagonist, as I think I’d be able to resonate or relate with them more deeply. Honestly, it’s a little thing, because I’d keep everything else the same, magic, world building, fantasy and romance, but with a male pov. Even if I do find such a book I’m probably still going to read all the ones with female protagonists because it’s fun seeing through that lens whilst I can’t in real life, and also I saw a limited edition hardback copy of the cruel prince on Waterstones with a really nice cover and, since I’m such a sucker for hardback books, I’m probably going to convince myself to buy it hahaha. Anyway, any such recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
