In the now non-zero likelihood the U.S. becomes a fascist dictatorship, should this subreddit be more active and vocal about protecting against book bans? It seems like an existential threat to all book lovers. Further, this subreddit is likely to be targeted and monitored by a modern digital regime.
Even ebooks are not safe. Microsoft, Apple, and Google all have access to our file systems. Jeff Bezos is in Trumps pocket. AI is taking in user data that could easily flag a user as a "dissenter" based upon reading interests and discussions. Anyone else as worried as I am?
