Just learned about the concept of ambiguous loss/grief (Mayo Clinic definition below). I’ve already seen a few books, but I’m looking specifically for books about mourning the loss of an emotional relationship with your mother or family. Also currently in therapy working through things but would appreciate any book recs
“Ambiguous loss is a person's profound sense of loss and sadness that is not associated with a death of a loved one. It can be a loss of emotional connection when a person's physical presence remains, or when that emotional connection remains but a physical connection is lost.”
