Hey Reddit,
I’ve been on this journey of change lately—physically, mentally, emotionally. I used to be the average, quiet kid back in school. The one people didn’t really notice. That feeling stuck with me for years. But recently, I decided to flip the script.
Started hitting the gym regularly, eating clean on a vegetarian high-carb diet, juggling college and a desk job—still showing up every day. And it’s been working. I feel stronger, not just in my body but in my mindset too. More focused. More me.
Now I’m looking to feed that same growth mentally. I want to read something that pushes my thinking. Maybe a book that helped you when you felt stuck or overlooked. Fiction or non-fiction—I’m open to anything, as long as it hits.
So… what’s that one book you always recommend to someone who’s trying to level up in life?
Drop your suggestions. And maybe tell me how it changed you, too.
Appreciate you all.

*East of Eden* by John Steinbeck
The book explores themes of depravity, beneficence, love, the struggle for acceptance and greatness, the capacity for self-destruction, and of guilt and freedom.
