Hey yall. Not sure as to what book I'd want to read next as I'm not even sure what genre I'm looking for, but I'm feeling unfulfilled in life and would like something new to discover for books. I'm more interested in the fiction, science fiction, and fantasy sphere, but am open to suggestions on other specific titles. Short Story collections are also surprisingly entertaining I don't mind those as well as novels.
Here's a list of books:
– House of Sand and Fog by Andre Dubus III
– Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
– The Magicians by Lev Grossman (only really read the 1st book but liked the vibe and concept)
– The Paper Menagerie and Other Stories by Ken Liu (admittedly enjoyed this one not as much as some of the others but I like a lot of the short stories)
– The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune
– 1984 by George Orwell (reading this for school and liking the style)
– 90% of all Neil Gaiman books. Good Omens, Trigger Warning, Neverwhere, The Ocean at the End of the Lane to name a few. (I don't really feel like buying or reading any of Neil's books with all the recent news but similar authors always appreciated!)
I've been eyeing some of these (not read) so does let me know if they're any good as well:
Mornings in Jenin — Susan Abulhawa
Brave New World — Aldous Huxley
The Illustrated Man — Ray Bradbury
The Instrumentality of Mankind — Cordwainer Smith
Thank you so much!!! I don't know if I'm asking for too much but I'm in a huge rut :/
