I have found that I enjoy books set during the WW2 period that are focused on women and what their lives were like during that time. But it just occurred to me that all the books like that I have read are set in the UK and I want to see if there is a series or stand alone like them set in the States.
To get an idea of what I am kinda looking for, here are some UK based women-centered WW2 I have enjoyed:
Jennifer Ryan's The Chilbury Ladies' Choir, The Spies of Shilling Lane, The Kitchen Front, The Wedding Dress Sewing Circle and The Underground Library (general fiction, stand alones)
Jacqueline Winspear's Maisie Dobbs series (mystery series)
Annie Barrows and Mary Ann Shaffer's The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (general fiction with romance)
