My favorite books are Gravity’s Rainbow, The Road, No Longer Human, The Sound and The Fury, Malazan: Deadhouse Gates, Goodnight Punpun, Berserk, etc.
Favorite movies (i find this medium is very similar to books and helps define taste in books) Inland Empire, Perfect Blue, Burning(2018), Rosemary’s Baby, Persona, Julien Donkey Boy, Gummo, Possession, Mirror
To summarize I am a big fan of modernist and post-modernist stuff, gothic, psychological and surreal works, very interesting styles, i am a very big fan of abstract mood driven stuff, dark and sad stuff, dark humor
Sorry if this is kinda dense and annoying, when i am trying to recc something i like to have an overall understanding of what they enjoy so I can intuit more easily what they like instead of just picking something similar to a specific thing they like
