It seems unpopular but I hate spending an entire book rooting for a couple for it to just end when they get together. I want to read more about the actual relationship and go through the ups and downs. I find most romances get boring quickly and I get tired of the "will they, won't they?" trope and the usually bad communication. Like most romances have a "conflict" that could almost always be easily resolved by just talking to eachother.
It's like they get together and I'm so excited to see how the relationship goes and then the book ends. I want to see a couple continue to fall in love and merge their lives together. I want to see more realistic conflict. I want to see the Honeymoon phase through. I read that some people find it boring but for me I just feel let down when a romance book ends just as the relationship finally started! I don't mind there being part of the story with them meeting and getting together, but I want a story that explores the relationship and not just the initial dating phase.
Preferably no YA but I'll make exceptions for good writing. Also not a huge fan of fantasy
