Hey guys, so I have completely exhausted the romantic fantasy genre. Essentially everything I read now seems copy paste and oversaturated. I have not found a good read in this genre for a while, and I mean one with a well developed plot, world building, and characters with depth or complex relationships. I think im looking for more fantasy with a romance subplot.
Spice is fine, not totally necessary but satisfactory if its there in like the final book of a series or something.
Kind of scared of posting this because I feel like any suggestions made will be books ive already read. I have just read a rediculous amount.
Please do not suggest fourth wing or any of sarah j maas' books.
Books I have read and really liked:
Absolutely loved the cruel prince series. Great plot, great characters and relationships.
I liked the throne of glass series by sarah j, and I liked ACOTAR but I do not like her recent books of the series (Frost and starlight or silver flame). Also do not like crescent city, I prefer historical settings and the spice was way too often for me.
Poppy war trilogy, the characters were very complex and had complex relationships.
Shatter me series was very creative but I never did finish it, lost interest.
One dark window series was awesome.
