Hey, everyone!
I'm currently in a "detective / mystery" phase where I am trying to consume as much content (movies, shows, books, games) from the genre as possible. I've read a fair amount of thriller novels, but haven't been exposed to many books that have more of a hardboiled detective and mystery feel to them. Does anyone have any suggestions to fit this genre?
I'm hoping to someday write my own novel for this genre, but I'm looking for inspiration first, of course. Something along the lines of L. A. Noire, for example.
Thanks in advance!

Cormoran Strike series starting with The Cuckoo’s Calling.
Some goodish mysteries I’ve read recently:
We came to welcome you, Vincent tirado
The other Mrs, Mary kubica
Stuart Kaminsky series about Toby Peters. He’s a very small-time PI who has some unusual friends. His clients are all Hollywood stars, producers, directors, and at least 1 studio head. 24 books. Set 1940s. Bullet for a Star is the first book in the series, and I’d suggest starting their only because of character introductions, The books don’t need to be read or listened to in sequence. Patrick Lawler is the narrator on the audio books. Very good job. I think I have about 6 more of his books in this series to finish.
He has a couple of other detective/PI books, which I’ve read a couple of.
Maybe The Aloysius Archer series by David Baldacci
